How are warranty issues handled?
Warranties and Returns:All of our products are first quality items and carry the manufactures full warranty. Merchandise that has been installed CANNOT be returned. Items not listed on our website are considered special order items and are non-returnable. For warranties and returns, customer must contact us by email and provide us with a phone number that we can use to contact you and arrange to issue a RMA. You MUST state in your email the time(s) you will be available to receive our phone call. Damage or Discrepancy Claims:SportTouringcycle.com must be notified within 72 hours of receipt of shipment, and prior to installation, of any and all damages/discrepancies to your shipment. Claims for damages outlined below WILL NOT BE VALID once the part has been installed. Inspect each part thoroughly for dents, chips, scratches, gouges, flaws, etc., and report any such damage to SportTouringcycle.com by email within 72 hours of receipt. Warranty Claim Returns:Merchandise may not be returned to SportTouringcycle.com unless purchased directly from SportTouringcycle.com. Return requests for dents, chips, scratches, gouges, flaws, etc. will not be allowed after 72 hours of receipt of goods. All warranty claims will be forwarded to manufacturer of product for their warranty department to handle. Upon issuance of warranty claim by manufacturer warranty will be processed for customer by SportTouringcycle.com. Request to return products must be meet the terms of the above warranty policy or have been shipped in error by SportTouringcycle.com. RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PREAUTHORIZATION FROM SportTouringcycle.com. You must contact SportTouringcycle.com by email for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). The RMA Number must be clearly written on the outside of the package and on the invoice on the inside of the box. Packages without the RMA on the outside of the package will be refused. A RMA does not indicate warranty approval. Approval/Disapproval will be determined after our physical inspection of the returned part by SportTouringcycle.com or the manufacturer. SportTouringcycle.com does ship replacement parts prior to receipt and physical inspection of the part. Parts must be packaged carefully to prevent damage. Customer is responsible for damages in return package shipping due to inadequate packaging. Shipments will not be accepted freight collect. SportTouringcycle.com does not pay for the return shipping of defective merchandise. We are not responsible for factory defects because we are not a product manufacturer and we do not produce the parts we carry (similar to a standard walk-in store). Thus SportTouringcycle.com will split the shipping costs with the customer. The customer agrees to pay to send the item back to SportTouringcycle.com and SportTouringcycle.com will consequently repair or replace the component and ship the item at no charge back to the shipping address specified in your account. SportTouringcycle.com DOES NOT ISSUE RETURN TAGS or CALL TAGS. For your protection packages should be shipped with a tracking number so receipt by SportTouringcycle.com can be verified. Due to the nature of electronic and electrical parts there will be no returns or exchanges.
